Salon Policy

At Groomie, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for every pet and their owner. Please take a moment to read through our salon policies before your visit.
1. Appointment Booking
Appointments can be made online, by phone, or in person. We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability, and scheduled appointments are always given priority.
You will receive a confirmation message upon booking. Please notify us as soon as possible if any details need to be corrected.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to another pet in need.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
No-shows without any prior notice may be charged the full service fee.
Repeated last-minute cancellations may require a deposit for future bookings.
3. Late Arrivals
We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you arrive after this window, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled to avoid delays for other clients. A late arrival fee may apply.
4. Pet Health & Safety
The health and safety of all pets in our care is our top priority. Before your appointment, please ensure the following:
Your pet is up to date on core vaccinations (e.g. rabies, distemper, bordetella). Proof may be required.
Your pet is free from contagious conditions such as kennel cough, ringworm, or active skin infections.
You have informed us of any health conditions, allergies, behavioral concerns, or previous grooming difficulties.
If fleas or ticks are discovered during the session, we will administer a treatment at an additional charge and notify you immediately.
5. Grooming Process
During your first visit, our groomers will discuss your pet's needs, coat condition, and your preferred styling. We take time to ensure your pet feels settled before the session begins.
Our groomers are trained to handle pets of all temperaments with patience and care. However, if a pet displays signs of extreme stress or aggression that pose a risk to the pet or our staff, we reserve the right to pause or stop the session for everyone's safety. You will be contacted immediately.
Severely matted coats may require shaving for your pet's comfort and skin health. Additional fees may apply for extensive de-matting work.
6. Payment
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and digital payments including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
A 20% deposit may be required for first-time bookings or larger service packages.
Pricing is based on your pet's size, breed, coat condition, and services selected. A final quote will be confirmed at check-in.
7. Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Please aim to pick up your pet within 30 minutes of being notified that their session is complete. Pets that remain at the salon beyond this window may incur a late pick-up fee of $10 per hour.
If you anticipate a delay, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your pet's wellbeing and your peace of mind matter to us. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a session, please notify us within 24 hours and we will do our best to make it right. Refunds or service credits are offered at our discretion.
9. Salon Etiquette
All pets must be on a leash or secured in a carrier when entering and exiting the salon.
Children are welcome in the salon but must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Aggressive or excessively anxious pets may be asked to reschedule or may require a sedation consultation with their vet before their next visit.
10. Emergency Situations
In the rare event of a medical emergency, we will contact you immediately and seek veterinary care without delay. Any costs related to emergency veterinary treatment will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
11. Liability
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pets in our care, Groomie is not liable for pre-existing health conditions or complications that arise during grooming related to undisclosed medical issues. We always act in the best interest of your pet.
12. Changes to This Policy
Groomie reserves the right to update these policies at any time. Any changes will be communicated via our website or by email. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
